The Emphatec SigNext - FM5/PLI/PE was designed to interface a loop powered (2 wire) 4-20mA transmitter to a PLC/DCS analog input. It combines the features of multiple terminal blocks in a single, compact module.

24Vdc power to the transmitter is provided via a 100mA 5x20mm fuse (provided with the module). If shield cable is used there is provision for grounding the shield directly to the DIN rail. A make-before-break test jack is provided so an ammeter can be quickly and easily inserted into the loop while testing or calibrating the loop.
